Synthetic Drug Whitepaper

In 2019, NYSAC’s Standing Committee on Public Health/Mental Health called on New York State to improve upon the patchwork of local synthetic drugs regulations by enacting a comprehensive state regulatory plan.

This white paper serves to inform this advocacy and educate county officials who may be interested in passing their own local laws about the avenues for regulating synthetic drugs and associated challenges.
