NYSAC Job Board Helps Counties Fill Essential Roles

It's a common refrain heard across all sectors of the economy since the arrival of the pandemic: “We can't find workers.”

After the unprecedented social and economic upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, employers of all stripes have been struggling to find workers to fill needed roles. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, unemployment nationwide remained at historically low 3.6 percent nationwide in June. While the New York unemployment rate of 4.5 percent is slightly higher than the national average, it remains an exceptionally tight labor market statewide and presents serious challenges for counties trying to attract and retain top talent.

If you are a New York State county official who would like to post a job listing NYSAC's County Job Board, please email countyjobs@nysac.org. Make sure to include the job information in a Word document, PDF, or copied text in an email.

The information must include the following:

• Job Title
• Description
• Requirements/Qualifications
• Point of Contact (either a specific person or an HR department)
• Physical/Mailing Address,
• An Email Address
• Phone Number

Optional: We can also include a link to a longer listing on your county website.

NYSAC will post the information on our job board and reply to your email with a link to where you can find your listing on the board.
Listings are automatically set to remain on the job board for a month after they are posted. If you would like a listing taken down before it expires, or renewed after it expires, just send a follow up email to countyjobs@nysac.org.
