NYSAC Comparison of 'One-House' Budgets

Today, the State Assembly and Senate legislature released their majority conference budget proposals that lay out each chambers’ priorities as they begin budget negotiations in earnest with the Governor. The Assembly and Senate both propose to add roughly $4 billion in recurring spending on top of the Governor’s proposal. This would bring year-over-year adjusted State Operating Funds growth to 13.7 percent.

NYSAC has reviewed the “one-house” budget proposals in our SFY 2026 State Budget Comparison Report to aid you in your correspondence with members of your state delegation. Included in this report is a NYSAC recommendations column to explain the county position and our request for the SFY 26 Enacted Budget.
