Deputy Budget Director/County Auditor, Fulton County

The Fulton County Budget Office is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Budget Director/County Auditor. This position will serve as the primary assistant to the Budget

Director/County Auditor in the areas of governmental budgeting and capital planning, as well as auditing accounts and processing payments.

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from high school, possession of a high school equivalency diploma, or a high school individual education plan diploma, and either:

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a closely related field and one year of responsible public and/or private sector administrative experience in accounting or auditing; OR

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a closely related field and three years of responsible public and/or private sector administrative experience in accounting or auditing;

Thirty (30) graduate credit hours in accounting, business management or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

Applicants should note that this is a provisional appointment, pending passing a civil service exam which will be held at a later date.

Fulton County residency is required.

Starting Salary:   $62,169.00
