Deadline Extended For Spring/Summer Edition Of NYSAC News Magazine

We're pleased to annouced that the deadline for article submissions for the Spring/Summer edition of NYSAC News magazine has been extended to May 5, 2023!
 
The upcoming Spring/Summer issue of NYSAC News magazine will be dedicated to all things technology!
 
Technology impacts virtually every aspect of our lives, and county government operations are no exception.
 
In this issue, we want to hear from county government leaders and officials about how tech is impacting the work of local government - the good, the bold, and the challenging.

Potential Topics
  • Tech solutions that improve service delivery and/or increase efficiency
  • Cybersecurity challenges and solutions
  • The promise and perils of A.I.
  • Incorporating new technology in HR/financial processes
  • Transitioning to the cloud 
  • Technology in public health
  • Leveraging technology to meet county climate/energy goals
  • Using technology to communicate with residents
  • Technology and emergency preparedness
  • How can tech help counties meet their workforce needs?
 
NYSAC News is read by thousands of county and state officials and is an ideal opportunity to raise awareness about issues facing local governments and innovative policy solutions.
 
Who should submit articles? 
 
County officials, department heads, association leaders, public interest groups, experts in the field of local government, and state leaders.
 
Preference will be given to articles submitted by government officials and academic/public interest experts. Private sector entities interested in submitting content should reach out to NYSAC Business Development Manager, Juanita Munguia at jmunguia@nysac.org.
 
 
Details
 
Articles should be 500-750 words and can be sent to Tom Oldfather (toldfather@nysac.org) by May 1, 2023.
 
Submissions should include an author headshot as well as any supporting charts, photos, or images (these should be high res files - 300 dpi, jpg, tif, or eps file format).
