A vacancy exists in the Schoharie County Office of the County Administrator
in the position of COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR

Salary Range: $100,00.00 – 145,000.00

The County Administrator is the chief operating officer and administrative head of Schoharie County government. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out and executing the policy and directive of the Board of Supervisors. General supervision is exercised over all County Department Head, except as otherwise require by law.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(A)
Master’s Degree in Business Management or Public Administration and (5) five years of full-time paid experience in public, business or industrial enterprise, with a minimum of (3) three years in public administration; OR
(B)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Public Administration (10) years of full-time paid experience in public, business or industrial enterprise, with (5) five years of experience in public administration.

Special Requirements: Incumbent must become a resident of Schoharie County within 120 days of appointment and must maintain Schoharie County residency for the duration of employment [Schoharie County Local Law 3 of 2015].

This position requires extensive travel. Incumbent will be required to possess and maintain a valid New York State driver’s license or otherwise demonstrate the ability to meet the travel needs of the job.
