Assistant County Attorney I, Sullivan County

The Sullivan County Department of Law is seeking to fill the following position:

Assistant County Attorney I: Attorney with at least three (3) years of litigation experience with responsibility for employment-related matters, including human resource issues and Civil Service administrative proceedings through appeal, as well as contract preparation, negotiation and review. Familiarity with real property transactions as well as Municipal Law preferred. This position further involves responsibility for providing legal counsel and representation to the Commissioner of the Division of Health and Family Services and to officers and employees of the Division of Health and Family Services. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Attorney, and in accordance with overall policies of the Department, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment in applying legal knowledge to specific problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a law school recognized by the New York State Education Department. and three (3) years of responsible experience in the general practice of law.

SALARY: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 based upon qualifications and experience.
