Funding for the EPF was held constant at $134 million, the same as 2011-12 levels. Some categories under the EPF are now being utilized by the regional councils to fund regional economic development projects through the newly created consolidated funding application. Most funding levels for agriculture local assistance programs were held constant from 2011-12 allocations, however some funding that formerly flowed through the Farm Viability Institute (FVI) will now be appropriated under a distinct line for Dairy Excellence.
