Project Description
NYSAC launched the Workforce Intelligence Project, under a grant from the New York State Department of Labor, to assist communities in meeting the economic and workforce challenges New York State is encountering now and will encounter in the future. The project is designed to promote active dialogue between local elected and community leaders on a regional basis, on the challenges and opportunities they will face in bringing about an economic renewal.
About the Workforce Intelligence Project
NYSAC To Host Regional Briefings on Job Creation
The national recession is taking firm hold in New York State with increasing business closings, layoffs and the rising unemployment rates that result. Counties across New York are facing increasing demand for services from residents in need during this time of national economic crisis.
The focus of this briefing session will be to discuss ways the federal stimulus funding can be used to assist the unemployed residents of your county and to invest in business sectors with potential for growth.
